Meet The Enneagram Dr

Welcome! I’m Dr. Liora Mascal Elias, a seasoned Communication researcher and Enneagram practitioner specializing in therapeutic coaching for clinical supervisors and the LGBTQ+ community.

I focus on helping clinical supervisors integrate the Enneagram system into their work, making it accessible for both themselves and their trainees. Many new therapists are hesitant to seek therapy for themselves, but through Enneagram-informed coaching, I provide supervisors with tools to support their trainees’ personal and professional growth.

As a Type 6 on the Enneagram, I bring a playful, curious approach to my work—while also understanding the challenges of overthinking, which many of us experience. I’ve spent most of my life in the Minneapolis area and am proud to call Minnesota home.

As a queer, non-binary person, I’m committed to creating safe spaces that honor and celebrate the diverse ways people show up in the world. Here, you are welcome to bring your full, authentic self—quirks and all.

For the past 14 years, I’ve dedicated my career to education as a college professor at the University of Minnesota. My passion for teaching is driven by my Type 6 curiosity about human development, which also led me to pursue certification in the Enneagram. This journey has deepened my understanding of my own tendencies and motivations, allowing me to live with greater ease and grace.

I’m eager to share these insights with you or your workgroup. Whether you’re looking to enhance communication, reduce stress, or improve decision-making, I offer Enneagram-based tools and strategies to help you and your team thrive.

My approach is informed by over 14 years of academic experience, specialized training in communication, gender, and sexuality, and my long-standing participation in twelve-step recovery programs.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me playing guitar, enjoying live music, reading, cooking, playing cards, listening to podcasts, and spending time with my wife, our pets, our niblings, and our community.

Thank you for visiting—I’m so glad you’re here.

“The purpose of The Enneagram is to develop self-knowledge and learn how to recognize parts of our personalities that limit us, so that we can be reunited with our truest and best selves.”
